Cultural: Ireland is primarily separated into two parts: Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland. Northern Ireland is actually a part of the UK, along with England, Scotland and Wales. Republic of Ireland is a free sovereign state. Just a couple of differences is that Republic of Ireland uses the Euro for currency and their speed limit signs are in km/h. Northern Ireland uses the sterling for currency and their speed limit signs are in mph.
